FROM THE COMPUTER ROOM:
Wednesday Problem:
Our Wednesday problem affecting discharging of items on hold and some other scenarios is still under investigation. We know the symptoms are that certain programs to check and fix database integrity were running.  Those programs are scheduled to run during non-active hours, so it is quite abnormal that they would run during the work day. SirsiDynix has commented that they still cannot find a definitive root cause.  We are monitoring the situation jointly over the next few days/weeks.

Tipping Point:The appliance was installed on Wednesday, well before the estimated time of 8:30 a.m. All day the Tipping Point Technician and Frank monitored the appliance as it began doing its job and blocking “malicious bugs” out in the great World Wide Web, protecting our network. For now, there is a two week burn-in period, and when Frank returns from vacation, a snapshot will be sent to Tipping Point which will be reviewed and then if any tweaking needs to be done, we will let you know. Otherwise it looks like the installation went smoothly as expected.

Texting Testing On Hold:
Texting been on hold due to Test Server updates for our Enterprise trial. We hope to have texting testing back in two weeks or earlier. What better way to inform you than with a Text. So here’s to Texting to you soon…..

Staff Vacations:Frank will be on vacation next week. If you are working with him on any projects or issues, please use the Wonder Desk. This way someone else can assist you, in case it is an urgent need.
