FROM THE COMPUTER ROOM:
Staffing – The computer room staff has been taking turns enjoying final summer vacations. Linda will be out of the office all of next week and most of the following week. Frank will return to the office Monday. The Computer Room will be closed for Labor Day.
Phone outage – last weekend we experienced a telephone outage affecting only our voice lines. A senior executive from Access One called to explain that the outage was for our entire service area , how they are going to prevent it in the future, and has promised a small credit on our bill. Fortunately for us, none of our systems were affected.
AUTHORITIES NEWS:
On Thursday, Aug. 22nd, CCS sent 8455 bibliographic records to Marcive for authorities processing. 2663 bibliographic records were updated and sent back to us. They were reloaded into our system, along with 3638 new authority records.
