FROM THE COMPUTER ROOM:
Acquisitions link – on our new web site www.ccslib.org you will find a new link for the Acquisitions discussion group. To go there, navigate to Members Only, scroll down to Library Staff Links and you will see the link for Acquisitions Group.

NoveList Select – we continue in a test/fix/test cycle with NoveList programmers. Our progress changes daily and we will keep you posted on progress via the list. We are hoping to have this ready around the beginning of the year. Thanks for your patience.

ISLAMIC SUBJECT HEADING CHANGES AND OTHER AUTHORITIES NEWS: LC is up to their old tricks again – changing subject headings so that they will be in direct order. This week’s changes involve headings that have “Islamic” in it. So headings such as “Art, Islamic”, “Civilization, Islamic”, and etc., have been changed to “Islamic art”, “Islamic civilization”, and etc.

Last week, a file was loaded from Marcive with 1741 updated authority records and 520 new authority records that were not available before.
