Network:
Work on the internal network at CCS will continue on Monday February 27. This should not affect the libraries.

Highland Park Test Load:
Next week Sirsi will load Highland Park data onto our Test Server. The library will go live on May 9.

CHANGE IN OPEN HOLDS PICK LIST COMPILATION TIME:
Beginning Monday 2/27 the Open Holds Pick List will compile at 4:00AM each day Monday-Sunday, instead of 9:15PM.
The report will continue to compile Monday-Friday at 12:30PM as usual.

AUTHORITIES NEWS:
Last week, on Thursday, Feb. 16th, CCS sent a group of bibliographic records to Marcive for authorities processing – 8361 bibliographic records were sent, and Marcive returned 2203 updated ones, as well as 3931 new authority records. Both the bibliographic records and the new authority records have been loaded into our system.

This week, CCS loaded two more files that were obtained from Marcive. One contained 1526 updated authority records and the other contained 371 new authority records. The updated authority records contain heading changes, new death dates, and other information that will keep our database as up to date as possible. The 371 were authority records that were needed in our database, but were not available before this time.

A MAJOR SUBJECT HEADING CHANGE:
The subject heading for “General educational developments tests” has been changed to a shorter form of “GED tests”. There are references that will guide catalog users to the correct form.

LIBRARY CLOSING:
Wilmette will be closed Friday, February 24.
