FROM THE COMPUTER ROOM:
New EPAY libraries temporarily on hold – we have been working on fixing the reports for ePay and have notified Sirsi regarding a few reported problems. Let us know if you are interested in ePay by opening a WonderDesk Incident. We will place you in a holding pattern, but when the problems are worked out we will know to get you up and going.

NSLS BATCHLOAD UPDATE:
CCS sent off the bimonthly database update for the statewide OCLC batchload on September 24.

NEW ILL POLICY: The CCS Governing Board approved a new policy on Sept. 23 assigning the responsibility for lost or damaged ILL to the patron (individual or library) to whom they were checked out in the CCS database. This means that if the patron is an individual, a library is no longer held responsible.

NOVELIST SELECT
: CCS is entering into a consortial subscription to NoveList Select to enhance iBistro. The approximate Go Live date is November 1; updates will follow.

DUNDEE OPEN HOUSE:

Dundee will hold an Open House to celebrate the refurbished library on Friday, Sept. 25, 4-7 PM. See the Sept. 11 issue of CCS News for full details.

LIBRARY CLOSING:
The Glencoe Public Library will be closed on Friday, September 25th for a Staff Development program.

ENTERPRISE 3.0 AT ILA:
Sirsi has advised us that there will be frequent demonstrations of their Enterprise 3.0 faceted search module at the ILA conference. This is something CCS is considering; please take a look if you go to the conference.

SUBJECT HEADING CHANGES AND AUTHORITIES NEWS:

Two subject heading changes occurred recently in the CCS database - East Timor is now “Timor-Leste” and “Fanzines” is now “Fan magazines”. All affected bibliographic records were changed.

CCS sent 5835 bibliographic records to Marcive on Wednesday, Sept. 16th for Overnight Authorities Processing. The records were processed and reloaded into our system. Of the 5835 bibliographic records, Marcive returned 1932 updated bibliographic records. Marcive also sent us 3013 new authority records.

This week, Marcive also sent CCS 1811 updated authority records that they knew we owned and also sent 622 new authority records that were not available before.
